Groups meet to analyze, discuss and formulate a solution to a problem. Group decision making is a valuable activity to achieve success in a project or business. This is the idea of synergy. Everyone will think and act as a group. But when do you call one?

Creativity, information, risk-taking, clear understanding

1. When you think there is a need for creativity.

2. When you need information that can only be given by the group.

3. When you need more risk-taking to consider in the solution.

4. When you think the solution can only be achieved if it is accepted by the group.

5. When you see there is a need of more understanding within the group.

6. When you think the problem can only be resolved if it is understood by the group.

Consultation, feedback, belonginess

7. When you think the group should be responsible for the decision.

8. When you think the problem is too complex that you need everyone’s contribution to find the best solution.

9. When you think you need feedback from a member’s idea or opinion.

10. When you think if everyone is involved, you will build confidence to the group.

11. When there is still time for the group to deliberate.

12. When you feel each one enjoys being part of the group.
