A short and precise analysis of Wal Mart Stores. Will give you some good information and insight about Wal Mart as an investment.

Wal Mart Stores (WMT) Analysis

Wal-Mart is an American retail chain, founded in 1962 by Sam Walton in Rogers, Arkansas. The company is the world's largest retailer and the world's largest company, with 1.8 million employees in 44 countries. The company became a limited company in 1969 and was registered on the New York Stock Exchange in 1972. The main office is located in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Walton's heirs together makes the world's richest family.

1. P / E: 13.28 = 4
2. Dividend: 2.30% = 0
3. Dividend ratio, EPS: 29.95% = 3
4. Number of consecutive years that the dividend has increased: 36 = 4
5. Number of years in a row with dividends: 36 = 4
6. Annual increase in EPS last 10 years on average: 11.60% = 3
7. Expected EPS growth for next year. 9.90% = 2

The company is extremely solid and got a good history. Last time the company increased the dividend was in March 2010, where the dividend was increased by 11%. The company pays out only 30% of EPS as dividend, which means that the company can increase the yield considerably over the next few years if desired. The last 30 years the company has actually doubled WMT dividend every three years. On the other hand, the company has received some criticism for pushing smaller competitors out of the market and for poor working conditions. Which has led to several lawsuits. Normally I would not invest in companies with less than 3% annual dividend. But with WMT I'm willing to make an exception. Do you like solid companies and rising dividends should WMT be considered.
