As long as you work then you get to pay the taxes. Have you ever thought about the life of an auditor and the fact that they are responsible in ensuring that you pay up what you owe the government?

Time to Pay Taxes

Last week we were being audited and I got to meet this young girl who is doing the auditing in our office and it’s not a small job so to speak. Her job requires her to go to a strange office and to fit in their daily running routine and be assigned a place for the duration of the audit, people are so different yet she has gotten used of it.

Her experiences were hilarious to say the least.

Napping Office.

This is the one that actually made my day. The employees in the manufacturing company made her stay very relaxed since everybody was entitled to a one hour nap between the hours of 1pm and 2 o’clock and the office literary shut down and no work was allowed. I guess to make the nap fun; they each had a glass of warm milk and bread at 12pm.

Desk Available in the CEO Office.

In this particular office the only desk available was in the CEO office and she told me that even taking a breath of air was torture because he never left the office. one day earlier on she has forgotten to put her cell phone on silent mode and when it rang, the boss was very quick to tell her to keep it down. She couldn’t finish the audit fast enough.

Compulsory Meeting Attendance.

In this particular office everyone in that office was expected to attend meetings in the morning and she was not exempted and she got more than auditing at the end of her stay.
Technology.

This office had very advanced computers and their network found her asking for assistance severally and the advantage is that she got to learn something new and took with her new ideas for their office.

I wonder what she will say about our office, I am afraid just thinking about it.

Offices have different ways that they run and the beauty of this line of work is that you are not bored and she has gotten to gathering a good number of friends and acquired a lot of knowledge in the way businesses run and when she needs to set up a business of her own I guess this will come in handy.

I am introverted and enjoy spending time in quite places and thus I have adopted reading as a second nature and I have just now began to write and I love to cook.

I have been on both sides in few countries. It is natural to approach a new place with trepidation; feel like you are a guest for few days. I put them at ease, but some of my colleagues make it hard for them! It is not for everyone as some places can look like from another planet! siva
