As a single mother, making ends meet can be difficult. Sometimes, you have to take making money into your own hands by starting a business. On this page, learn how to start a business as a talented, skillful, intelligent, juggling single mother.

5 Steps to Starting a Business as a Single Mother

With only one income, it can be difficult to makes ends meet. While you may not be able to make any more money at your current job, there’s always the possibility of starting a business. When you start a business, you become your own boss. You don’t have to deal with the ceiling that so many women experience in corporations. Knowing how to start a business is where to start in this exciting endeavor.
Step 1: Identify Your Passion
Starting and running a business is hard work. The only thing that keeps most business owners going is the passion they have for it. This is why it is important to identify what you love, and then consider if it could be turned into a lucrative business.
Step #2: Research Market
Before investing in a business, it’s important to research the market for it. The easiest way to do this is to search for businesses doing something similar with success. If you can’t find a business that has thrived in this type of service or product, you’ll have to dig deeper to find out whether or not people will want to buy what you are selling.
Step #3: Find Funding
It takes money to make money. While you may not have the cash to start a business, there is funding available to you. The government has many grant opportunities for people seeking to start a business. If your business idea relates to an organization or association, consider contacting them to ask for grant opportunities.
Step #4: Create a Business Plan
You can’t lead your business to success if you don’t know where you are going. Create a business plan detailing how you will use your funding to grow your business consistently. Be sure to always plan for the unexpected such as slowdown in sales or a delay in supplies.
Step #5: Remain Flexible and Patient
A business will not become a success overnight. It takes most business owners five years before they see any type of profit. Keep this in mind as you grow your business from the infancy stages to a success. There will be bumps in the road that you’ll have to deal with, but as long as you remain flexible by adjusting your business plan as needed, and you persevere, it’s likely you’ll someday see the success you only dream of right now.
Your Business on Your Time
The best part of starting a business as a single mother is that you can do it in your own time. There’s no time clock, and there are no closing hours. You can simply work when you can. This way, you can continue to give your children the attention they need from their loving and caring mother.

As a single mother and a business entrepreneur, one has to set up a business in such a way that there is a steady source of income that would help enable the child to have adequate time with the parent.
Personally, I work from home and only when I have to step out that my child live with family.
Everything is cared for and provided on a regular basis and I even make sure that the child is in one of the schools and with the best in class.
Have no time for men and their lecherous habits and say this as it is my job to manage entertainers in the music and film industry.
