Good Customer Service is the lifeblood of any business. It is a series of activities designed to greatly enhance the level of customer satisfaction i.e, the feeling that a product or service has met the customer expectation.

The Importance

Customer service is activity involed in providing service to customers before, during and after a purchase. It is a series of activities designed to greatly enhance the level of customer satisfaction i.e, the feeling that a product or service has met the customer expectation.

Good Customer Service is the lifeblood of any business. You can offer promotions and slash prices to bring in as many new customers as you want, but unless you can get some of those customers to come back, your business won't be profitable for long. A flawless customer service should be about bringing customers back. And about sending them away happy - happy enough to pass positive feedback about your business along to others, who may then try the product or service you offer for themselves and in their turn become repeat customers.

Itis not only being considerate and providing the customers needs, but truely having concern for the customer and helping him/her find what they are looking for. Showing genuine concern for `their` concerns proves that you are there to help them and not just for the che at the ene of the week. Employee`s are a reflection of the employer. Having run my own business in a small sclae online, even I can understand how true this principle stands the test of time. Think about it. If a customer comes into your place of business and is treated wrongly by your employee, what will the customer think? probably the simple fact that you as the employer hired a `not-so-nice` employee but somehow you liked them enouggh to hire them. So that puts you in the same basket of worms as the snobby employee. Now you tell me who wants to deal with that when making any kind of purchase.

Good customer service isn't difficult to provide. Unfortunately, for some, it's very hard to accomplish. I think a lot of people see their job as just a way to make money, without giving it their all.
