Triond is a pay for content site, where you get supposedly make money for your content on a revenue-sharing model

Writing for Triond does not pay

If you are new to writing online a Google search would probably reveal Triond, among many other sites.

This is because a lot of users and forum users have out-of-date information. Triond is not a good place for a new author to sign up.

There interface is old and dated and only once you sign up, can you see that the timestamps on all of the articles are from more than a year ago. There is a reason for this.

I signed up and wrote some content, very similar to an article I wrote on another site (Wikinut). I was experimenting with phrasing and style and wanted to use the data collected by the two separate ways of publishing my material to find my best voice.

Unfortunately, it took Triond three and a half days to publish my work. And with it came zero pageviews. My article on wikinut had views everyday in the meantime, once in the hundreds. I submitted another article and waited. And waited.

After three and a half more days, I've concluded Triond is dead. In one whole week, an entire 168 hours, they published 50% of the submissions they received and I got zero page views. Yes, even my initial accepted article did not get a single view according to their metrics,

If you see any forums or blog posts about where to write online for money, please make sure to check the timestamps every time someone suggest Triond. It is just not worth wasting your time for literally nothing.

I had been a writer there years ago. I stopped writing with Triond 2 years ago but they still pay me a few cents every month on my old articles, but I find that some of the links to my articles don't work, it is like some articles are gone. Triond was once good but they are no longer so good.

Thanks for the comment, Mark. I imagine a lot of writers are in a similar position. If you have a large body of work there, it should still get some residuals, but if not, probably nothing. For a new writer, though, it's impossible to achieve the level you had previously attained. Thanks for the helpful comment and the quick moderation!

I started with Associated Content which was taken over by Yahoo to become Yahoo Contributor Network and later Yyahoo Voices. Due to some regulatory changes I was not paid as only US residents qualified. Over time that acted a dampener as the "potential" earnings rose over $100.

Wikinut pays little but still does for a long while - as far as writing sites go! As I know where I stand, I am okay here - siva

Thanks for the comment, Siva.

Yes, it is hard to stay ahead of all the rule changes of so many different sites, glad you found a place where you are happy.

Thanks, Fern!

I won't say there's nothing out there not worth your time, just not Triond!
Cheers,

It seems they don't have the overall site traffic they used to. Thanks for the comment, Madan.
