Conflict management is a great challenge for every manager and if you can deal with conflict, you will build an effective team and if you cannot handle the conflict, your team will not be able to work effectively.

When people work together, then differences will arise and later on these differences turn into conflicts.

When conflicts arise, what should you do? Should you avoid conflicts or should you manage conflicts? If conflicts occurs, then avoiding conflict will ruin productivity of your employees, hence conflict needs to be managed. To manage conflict you can follow these techniques -

1. To manage conflict effectively you need to give appropriate chance to both parties to put their point of view.

2. Communicate effectively. Most of the time conflict occurs because of lack of communication. If you want to manage conflict, then you have to communicate effectively.

3. Regular meetings can help you understand conflict. Conflict can be better managed if it is managed in its initial stage. Try to identify conflict at its initial stage because it will help you manage conflict effectively.

4. Pointing out to common ground. In the process of managing conflict you need to point out to a common ground that will be suitable for both conflicting parties.
