This painting was done for a Winery. Hence, the title.
I love painting and the joy that my paintings bring. The quote that states, 'Dance as if no one is watching..' is hard to apply to life. I feel that I can apply this to my art.

August Vines

Inspiration for the Painting Grapes full with flavour.
Vines heavy with their weight.
Purples, reds, merlots, plums, burgundies.
Plump with juices
Ready for wine
Hot sun shining down
Warming the grapes as they grow
August arrives
Wines await

About this Painting
I painted this painting for a local winery. They hosted an art show featuring 4 artists, of whom I was one. It was wonderful to meet other local artists and mix and mingle at Little Straw in West Kelowna, BC.

How did I paint this? Acrylics on a 2x3 foot canvas
A variety of reds sponged on
A variety of oranges sponged on
A touch of yellow sponged on
A touch of purple sponged on
Grapes stamped on with gel, purple and the lid of an old acrylic paint bottle
small brush with brown to create series of fence lines with little dabs
high gloss finish

it looks very lovely. I wish you would place the painting at the top of a section, so it comes out bigger. Let us see all the beauty. In the first section you can only do a photo to the side but, if you use the next section, on... You can place it at the top. Us folks with 40 something eyes have a hard time seeing your lovely painting is all. Thank you for sharing.:)
