Marketing Branded Products
It pays to market branded products because they always stand out wherever they are. Coke is identified all over the world and it is separate from all other colas because it has been branded as such.
Coke's bottle is uniquely designed to be identified wherever it is. Even the blind can tell it is coke if they feel the bottle. The taste of coke is also different from that of any other cola brand. Though they are all the same in colour, the difference is in the taste and packaging.
Branding BY Big Corporations
Many big companies and corporations have identified the need for branding and are spending huge sums of money to make them and their products stand out wherever they are found.
They engage well known copy writers to craft copies that will make their products unique from all other competing products. They equally commision experts to design logos and brand marks that are unique and make them different from their competition.
And to gain perpetual use of these items, they register them as their trade marks and equally patent their products to avoid others cashing in on their inventions and creations to make money at their own expense.
Personal Branding As Internet Marketers
On a personal note, branding will establish you as a force to be reckoned with in any area of your endeavour. Branding will set you apart as a thoroughbred professional who is worth every penny he charges clients for services rendered.
As internet marketers, we also have to brand ourselves to make us and our services unique. Just as you cannot go to the cola shop and buy a cola without identity, so will your potential clients not stumble upon your address on the internet and start doing business with you if you have not set yourself apart from all others.
How do we brand ourselves?
As an individual, the one asset you have to brand which is unique is your name. You may also have a brand name you have chosen which you use as your identity. That is also good. Added to your picture, your name represents you quite well. Therefore, you should aim to build up your name as a unique brand. Your picture should be part of this brand as well as a logo or trade mark.

As for me, the brand I am building is Nnamdi Agha, which is my name. I am also known as bronnamdi, which is the id I use in most of the social networks and internet forums I belong to. Along with my picture, the brand I am building is complete. I have registered these names as domain names bronnamdi.com and nnamdiagha.com.
I am making them known at the moment by writing articles and blog posts so they can be established and etched in the minds of my future clients as a brand name to be reckoned with. In due course, I will use them for other purposes different from how I am using them now.

Will you just be an internet marketer or article writer as you are known now or would you have built your brand identity that you will now be addressed as Nnamdi Agha - Internet Marketer or bronnamdi - Article Writer.
The English say, "As you make your bed, so will you lie on it". And, I say, make haste to build your brand and set yourself apart from all the scammers who mask as internet marketers on the internet so you can gain credibility and make money online.
