Today cutthroat competition has made work environments of almost all organization's stressful. In today's competitive world stress is unavoidable and you cannot run away from stress because wherever you go stress will follow you. One thing you should keep out of the mind is that you can run away from stress. The reality is that you cannot run away from stress and in fact positive stress is necessary for bringing out the best from you, hence this is not a good idea of running from stress. However, you can handle the stress, you can manage the stress, you can deal with the stress and you can use the stress to increase your productivity, but you cannot avoid and runaway from stress. Here are the some secret tips for you to be more productive in a stressful work environment-
1. First, you have to understand that stress is not essentially related with your work or work environment. In fact, if you are jobless or you are not doing work for quite a while, then these situations are more stressful than the work environment stress. Stress can start form your home, so please do not blame only on work environment.
2. There are many causes of stress - over expectations, lack of money, poor health, poor communication and poor relations with the boss, etc. etc. Understanding real cause of your stress is necessary because right diagnosis helps in right treatment.
3. If you want to handle stress take five to ten minutes every morning for planning and plan your day. You can make a to-do list. These five minutes planning will help managing stress and making the whole day productive.
4. Organize your work and your desk because your cluttered desk creates stress. Your desk and your tasks should be uncluttered. You should prioritize your tasks on the basis of importance.
5. Maintain work-life balance because this will help you in coping with stress and increase productivity. If you bring your office at home and your home at office, then stress is inevitable6. Take small breaks during your work. These breaks can be tea breaks or coffee breaks, but be careful about smoking and drinking because smoking, drinking and other drugs can only solve your stress problem temporally and in the long run these things will harm your body and eventually creates permanent stress.
7. Communicate with others; talk with others because communication will solve your stress problem automatically. Both types of communications written and verbal help in stress.
8. Mediate and take long breaths. When stress dominates you, meditation is the only solution to stress.
9. Drink water as much as you can, and eat balanced diet on schedule. Many times, you are working whole day and you forget to drink the water and it causes dehydration, hence you should drink water in regular intervals.
10. Last, but not least follow your passion and take some time to follow your hobby. For example, if your hobby is listening to music, then take some time every day for music because it will help in coping with stress.
