Freelancing is a money maker for people who know their onions. Even if the business of freelancing is becoming to crowed and the fees for jobs are declining, yet you can carve a niche for yourself and stand out among other freelancer and thus make money.
Ways To Online Success as A Freelancer
Freelancing is as old as any job. This is because freelancing is doing jobs without be committed to any boss or structured regular office environment. It makes you a master of your own time and the kind of job you do. Freelancing as being around for a long time.People were seen to get contract if the job is an a plumber, electrician, engineer, just name it and they get to do the job with staying within the confine of a regulated office.
The thing however is the preponderance of freelancing jobs this times. The reality of the recent global economic vagaries is all staring us in the face. Many people are losing job when they least expect and even when they are given notice about quitting their job, they have little or nothing to do to keep the job.
There are many laid off workers that has joined the growing numbers of freelancer. And as these people has financial responsibility to their families, they can but afford to fold their arms without making use of the opportunities the internet now provides. There are freelancing sites available if you do a search on your search engine.Asides that, there are freelancers forums where you can join and get to submit proposal for jobs and if you suit your clients, then you have it. But, the challenge is the fee that prospective clients are willing to pay for the job.
In the days, when freelancing online was still young,if your into web design, blog making and copy writing, you could get juicy fees for your effort but not any more now. The influx of the Asian into the business of freelancing that are willing to do these work for lesse price, as made the freelancing job no more profitable.
Apologies to my Asian friends but, It is annoying that a writing freelance job that goes for $5 for 100-200 words before is now for a measly fee of $1-$1.5 for 100-300 words. So, you see the freelancing job is not worth its while. How can you commit so much time and effort into researching for a particular keywords and putting together a 500 words for about 30 minutes or more. And all you have to get is $3?
I don't think the freelance buisness its worth it anymore. But does that mean that is the end of freelancing? Not at all. Let me suggest some ways you can make moeny doing freelancing these days.
1. Established your expertise by writing articles about your field in as many articles sites as you can
2. Write press releases and submit to both free and paid press release sites.
3. Create a blog and post daily or weekly you expertise for people to know who you are and what you do.
4. Make videos on site like Youtube in order to publicize your wealth of knowledge.
5. Have a fan page on Facebook and make it appealing in order to draw people to your page. Also, keep discussion going regularly on your page.
6. You can as well advertise yourself on classified ads or Google adwords if you can.
The freelance business is still relevant online. There are many people searching for people that can do their job well and professionally too. If you are good at your job, there is nothing stopping you from be the person that people will look for.
