Not really servants
PEOPLE ,MEN AND WOMEN , who are held in high esteem and are public servants, should be held in the highest regard and trust by the people they are supposed to be serving.
Why is it then that they are not to be trusted, when we find out that they have no honor, they are suppose to uphold the law and app rend criminals and enforce the laws of the land. But how can any citizen trust them, when they are as bad as the criminals they are supposedly protecting us from.
Case in point:: in one of the local newspapers an article where the wives of ten police men were pleading with them publicly to act like husbands and come home to their wives at night instead of sleeping with their girl friend or another woman. A whore or prostitute will try to buy her way out of jail with her body, the problem is the police accept the bribe.
So it turns out there is no law and no law enforcement. There should be a public outrage among the God fearing tax paying public. Why bother having police, why pay them to do nothing?
In yesterdays paper there is a story about ex police man who was caught in a buy bust operation, he had probably been busted from the force for the same thing. Probably making more money than he could as a cop. The love of money is the root of all evil. The police are working hard to control the spread of drugs.
The problem is how do we get honest law enforcement people?
Also why aren't the city officials, honest why don't they report all the money they take in for permits and fees. Are the people that work in government jobs all so poorly paid that they have to stoop to becoming criminals. What I think it is they are all so greedy they will do anything to make money. Greed is not a good thing.
Will they all bend to accepting bribes,and under the table money, if it is high enough? Or they are desperate enough? Why is everyone in this country so desperate? Or perhaps it is jealousy, the other guy has a nice house and car so I want one too. How am I going to get it??
Questions arise from all of this discussion.
How and where do we train people to be honest ?
When should it be started?
Honesty should start at home as a small child, then continue to adolescents to teen years then to adulthood. By the time they are adults honesty and integrity should be second nature to them.
