Quiz
Are you in debt?
Can you quit your job if your ethics required it?
Can you quit your job if your health required it?
Do you think if you quit your job it would be all over for you?
Do you desire material things that require more money than you have?
Do you have to go to school?
Do you have to be vaccinated?
Do you have to have insured?
Can you do what you want with your time?
Can you do what you want with your thoughts?
Do you have to pay taxes?
Do you work a job you hate?
Do you so spend time in traffic?
Can you travel freely?
Can you communicate freely?
Can you love who you want to love?
Can you wear want you want to wear?
If you answered yes to any of these questions then you are a slave:)
I would like to make this list more extensive though the comments section, should be fun and informative.
I refrain from passing judgement I am not saying that slaves or being a slave isn't cool:)
Some of my best friends are slaves. In fact I cannot answer all those questions NO yet but I am working on it! Irony intended. So there is no need to retaliate I am not a slavist. New word to add to: racist, sexist, or agist. How many ist's does it take to evolve a species?

Im a slave too! Also working on it. But im careful not to work too hard on it, because that will make me a slave for my need for freedom, which would only complicate my slave-existence and make it less likely to free myself! Hmm.., I should probably just shut up and keep watching TV.. : )

Thanks for the compliments, jonathan. Working on it while looking as if we aren't working on it or at least make it so it looks like we like it. If we are concerned what we look like, that is, but that sounds like work too!

Thanks for the comments. I want to add Do you pay rent or mortgage to keep a roof over your head? Do you pay money to obtain food to survive? Yes we all enslaved, I think it is important at this time to think real hard about what we are willing to allow to enslave us:)

slave.. but becoming less and less so. we keep free range chickens for eggs and have a garden - and low mortgage.

I agree with all those who say that we are all slaves to some extent. Even if you are retired, out of the rat race and receiving a pension we all have to pay tax. The only time we are truly free is when we are dead and gone. A very though provoking piece though. Thank you for the share.
